How to check your subscriptions and what they cost a year
Updated: 9 October 2026
A 1.000 L monthly subscription looks small. Five of them add up to 60.000 L a year. Subscriptions pay themselves, which is exactly why they’re easier to forget than any other bill.
Where to find them all
- On your phone. On iPhone: Settings → your name → Subscriptions. On Android: Google Play → your profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions.
- On your card statement. Go through the last three months and note every payment that repeats, even the small ones.
- In your email. Search for words like “subscription”, “renewal”, “receipt” or “invoice”.
Work out what they cost a year
For each subscription, multiply the monthly amount by 12. The yearly figure shows much more clearly whether it’s worth it. Ask yourself about each one: did I use this last month?
Cancel before they renew
- Note the renewal date of each one. You usually need to cancel before that date, or you pay for another period.
- Free trials turn into paid subscriptions on their own. When you start a trial, set a reminder for the day before it ends, straight away.
- Cancel where you subscribed: on your phone (App Store or Google Play) or on the service’s website. Deleting the app does not cancel the subscription.
Subscriptions in euros
Many subscriptions are charged in euros or dollars. The amount in lekë changes with the exchange rate, and your bank may also charge a fee for paying in a foreign currency. Check your statement for the exact amount taken.
